Hello Everyone! Dezember 3st update here! Also the first update of the blog!
Programing
Screens
I have finished programming all the main screens of the game(main menu, game menu, save and load screen, settings screen and the LOG). More screens will be added late on the game.
Inventory
I have finished implating and inventory where the player will collect some item in the course of the story. These items will be used to unlock some choices in the games.

In the inventory screen you will see a list with the image, name and a description of the item. This way will be better for the play to keep track of what item they have.
Info & Magic
In the course of the game, Kailan will learn important information that will help him in his journey. These Informations will have influence the narrative.

Like the inventory screen, the info screen with have list of all the infos that the player has. Every info will have an description and notes about it. During the game the Info will be updated if Kailan learns something new.
Magic will work very much like the infos, but the player will only be able to do some actions if he knows the required magic for that action.
Friendship and affection
I've finished implanting a friendship and affection system. During the course of the game your choices will increase or decrease the friendship with the other characters. The affection will only be present in the love interest characters and it will determine which route the player may go later on.

In the character screen, the player will be able to keep track of the friendship and affection level of the other characters. It will be also shown informations about the characters.
Choice system
The choices will control some outcomes of the story, however some choice options will be locked.
These locked choices won't be shown to the player, unless he has completed requirement.
These requirements are:
-Info: If the player knows a specific info, made a promise,...
-Friendship: If the player has a high level of friendship with someone.
-Affection: If the player has high level of affection with someone.
-Item: If the player has a specific item.
-Magic: If the player know a specific magic.

The icon will appears beside the option if the requirement was completed. The option without the inco will always be shown.
Writing
Flow chart
The narrative of the visual novel will be divided into three chapters. In this way, it will be easier for me to manage my work.
This is a simplified version of the game's flowchart. In the game there will be much more paths and variables in play.
Chapter one: Twilight fall
The beginning chapter will be composed of:
- Seven days to solve the mystery of the unknown demon.
-Days divide in day time and night time.
-In the day time you will interact with other characters and look for information.
-In the night time you will be able have to investigate the village and forest.
-Two endings.
Chapter two: Night acceptance
The second chapter will be the longest in the visual novel and it will where the story will be divided. In this chapter the option to choose a route will be available if the requirements was completed.
Chapter Three: One dawn
The third and the final chapter will have the conclusion of the route. Every route except one will have four endings (bad, neutral, good and perfect). One of the main factor that will determine the ending will be the affection of the character, but there will be other factors.

Future tasks
It is important to remember that the game is still in early development. It will take a little of time for me to have a decent build for you guys to test it. However I thinking about releasing a teaser build showing the beginning of the game.
In the coming weeks, I will be polishing the teaser build and as finishing the sprites and backgrounds.
I will also be working on the day one script. Hopefully I can finish the day one before the new year.
